Wayne P. Kurtz
Wayne Kurtz is a man of great passion who has spent a lifetime devoted to pursuing and achieving every goal he has to set out to accomplish. Growing up, he learned from his parents the most important trait: set big goals and work your head off to achieve them. His parents always said, “Wayne always beats to his own drum and will always come up with something off the wall.” They were right. That’s his personality. He believes in trying something new and his career and personal life reflect this attitude.
Wayne has never wavered in his devolution to set audacious goals and (not always) but most of the time succeed. He has professionally accomplished dozens of major goals. As a result, Wayne has more than 20 years of senior-level experience in financial services organizations including operations management, marketing/sales, fiscal planning, M&A, P&L management. He has been recognized for articulating vision and direction, turning around poorly performing divisions, guiding joint ventures, and establishing strategic alliances.
As the President and CEO of Karlsberg International Insurance Corporation, Wayne’s responsibilities will include executing long-term strategic/tactical plans along with overall management and operations of the company.
Before joining Karlsberg International Insurance Corporation, Wayne was a Senior Vice President of Aon Hewitt – Executive Benefits division, responsible for the Northeast region and working with the management team and board of directors of global Fortune 1000 clients. Prior to that, his experiences included general securities principal and the director of client development and management for a national benefits consulting firm and senior director of the tax and financial services practice for a “Big Four” accounting firm.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Wayne has made amazing accomplishments as an endurance athlete. He has a lifelong passion of racing in various endurance sports races throughout the world. He continues to search for unique races to add to his race calendar each year. He also founded of the largest endurance racing resource in the world, RaceTwitch.com. In 2010, he became a first-time author and wrote the book Beyond the Iron: A Training Guide for Ultra Distance Triathlons, which is a steady seller on Amazon. He recently finished his second book Never Say “I Wish I Had” and intends to continue writing other books to help people improve their lives.
Wayne has a bachelor’s degree in finance and math from Robert Morris University and a master’s degree in taxation from Duquesne University. He also earned a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from The College of Financial Planning.
